Post alignment off without images

I literally feel like I have tried everything and can’t figure it out! So I’ve tried this in both text view and regular view. I click ‘add new post’ type up my text, I’ve also tried selecting the entire body of text and aligning it to the left and I’ve individually selected the paragraphs and aligning them to the left. I hit the preview button and the top section of my post is moved to the far right and it looks like it is wrapping the text around an image, even though I hadn’t inserted one. The bottom section is scrunched together and is moved completely to the left and again it appears like it is wrapping text around an image that is not there. I have tried this with links in my post, without links in my post, I have tried removing the format in the post, I have tried creating a brand new post from scratch and nothing work. I HAVE NO experience with CSS and modifying HTML or codes or whatever so it could be the theme but my other posts in this theme show up just fine. Please help. I literally cannot post because the alignment is so off.

    Hi,

Throughout each of the pages “About Andrea,” “Ask Andrea” “Disclosure Policy,” and “Shop” the text is centered. The front page and the single posts I checked looked fine. I didn’t find a post or page which fits the description you’ve provided, however…

The URL http://www.thatandrealife.com/ is not that of a WordPress.com site. WordPress.com sites are fully hosted by WordPress.com, whereas this one has a different host. The present forum is solely for issues regarding WordPress.com accounts and websites, so it isn’t the proper forum for addressing your issue.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different versions of WordPress, with separate support forums. See the WordPress.com and WordPress.org support page.

If http://www.thatandrealife.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, then please resubmit your request to the WordPress.org support forums. If you haven’t already done so, you can register here: https://wordpress.org/support/register.php, to use the WordPress.org support forums.

musicdoc1 There is no post that fits this description because I didn’t post it yet. I have it saved as a draft but everytime I hit the preview button that’s the format problem that I am encountering. Should I post it for you to see?

Additionally, my website is through WordPress hosted by BlueHost. Since this is an issue I am encountering while posting on the WordPress and not my BlueHost account, I thought it was a within the forum guidelines. I appreciate any help or direction with this as I am very frustrated.

  • Hi @10aalopez,

Additionally, my website is through WordPress hosted by BlueHost. Since this is an issue I am encountering while posting on the WordPress and not my BlueHost account, I thought it was a within the forum guidelines. I appreciate any help or direction with this as I am very frustrated.

If it helps, WordPress.com is a site hosting service. WordPress.org is free software: you run you own copy of WordPress, usually at a host such as Bluehost. It’s a bit like the difference between a restaurant and a recipe.

You are running your own copy of the software, but you’ve reached the forums for the services of WordPress.com. You’ll want to use the forums at WordPress.org instead: https://wordpress.org/support .

Bear in mind, WordPress.org installations are a do-it-yourself endeavor, but if you’ll search the forums there for the trouble you’re having, you can likely find a solution, and if not you can ask the community for help. You will of course want to publish the post so they can see it and help you. You might also try another theme to see if that solves your problem.

Or, if you’d like, you may be able to move your site to our service so we can maintain it for you and provide support. Here’s how to get started with that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/coming-from-self-hosted/

    Cheers!
