Post and Sidebar Width In Mobile And Desktop

    Hi,

My theme has the option of including two sidebars but I’ve only activated one.

I was having issues with my post content only showing at 50% in desktop view (with a blank sidebar space showing at 25% and my actual sidebar also showing at 25%) so one of the wordpress help people suggested I add a command in my CSS to set primary to 75%, which worked to fix the gap in between my post content and my sidebar in desktop view.

However, this makes it so that in tablet and mobile view my post content is only at 75% with the sidebar content nesting below it at 100%. I’m fine with the sidebar content being below the post content, but I don’t like the way the post content looks when it’s at 75% with blank 25% space next to it.

I want to be able to have my site show in desktop view with 75% post content and 25% sidebar, and in tablet and mobile with 100% post content and 100% sidebar nested one under the other. Because of the phantom second sidebar showing up in desktop view this has become very problematic. Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve played around with screen width specific css code and for it to work for mobile and tablet to fix the 75% post content width to 100%, I have to remove the overarching primary at 75% command that the WordPress guy had me insert.

When I do that my desktop site reverts to showing a 25% gap between my post content and my sidebar, as though I had a second sidebar in there.

    Hope I’m explaining myself clearly.

Hi @montinge, I’m not seeing the spacing issues on my desktop, iPad or iPhone. Are you still having this issue?

No, it was eventually fixed by the WordPress.com team. Thanks!
