  Some themes display author names (bylines) and some do not. For a list of those that do or do not see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/ Some themes that are coded to display an author byline and an author profile and the data is derived from the Users > My Profile > About you section.
