Post background color

Does it really need to be that difficult to set a background color. Yes I am new. Yes I use Elementor normally.I tried every CSS code I can find in a CSS custom plugin, in the theme editor that i created a child theme for, and the global. I have copied and pasted all the suggestions available. I can’t find it in the inspect element to follow that tutorial.
I really don’t get why it takes this much to do something that should be so simple. Most of the video tutorials don’t match my options in my wordpress and they are 3 year plus old videos. I know that everyone wants boring black and white, but I would like to set it to match the rest of my site. Can anyone help?
I am doing another tutorial that is showing me how to set up to import the posts into elementor, but you can’t create the posts in elementor. You have to use the regular wordpress editor.
Thanks in advance.

It’s really my wife’s website. I want the background color to be #F38ADA. Changing it with PHP code is way over my head.
-
/*Change background color on all posts*/
.postarea {
background-color: #F38ADA;
}Doesn’t work and neither does body {
background: “color”;
} -
Sorry, I don’t know how to edit the posts I already made to update it.

Well I got one post with .postid-10080 {
background: #F38ADA
}
but the other post has totally differ inspect. I think it’s because it was maybe created with Elementor. I will try to copy the data to another. I should have done a draft in word or something.I can’t get changing the color in the background behind the typed content. Is that the “postarea”. Anyone got code for that? Anyone got code to apply the background color to all posts?

Wow! So I got it, then a miracle. The color settings show up under block. I don’t even know if it applies for what I’m doing.
Does anyone have advice for changing font color for links?

Hi there!
It looks like your site is no longer hosted with WordPress.com so you’ll probably get more help if you posted to the community forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.

@jssenterprises no worries. Just remember WordPress.com is a service by a company, and WordPress.org is a site for the free code, that’s maintained by many organizations.
Also, since you’re using Elementor, you might reach out to their support, too. In my experience, their tools are very good at overriding CSS, so you may need to change a setting in their interface for this.
Good luck!
