Post background need to lengthen
-
I have the upgrade to customize the CSS – I added the background image I wanted but now my post flows into the background instead of keeping the white behind the text. How do I lengthen the post background color so the text stays within that frame and doesn’t flow into the background image?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@weschyrchel, her blog is linked to her name to the left. See actiondsc, linked to http://actiondsc.wordpress.com/
Thanks for helping!

You are missing stuff from the CSS for colophon (footer) and the site generator
This gets you sort of back to where it was on the original theme.
#colophon { clear: both; padding-bottom: 20px; } #site-generator { line-height: 2.2em; margin-right: 20px; text-align: center; } -

@designsimply, thank you!
@actiondsc, looking at the css, you might want to try adding under #primary ID,
background: #fff;
-
@thesacredpath, yep there are no styles for either of those selectors.
@actiondsc, you may want to try and do what @thesacredpath is suggesting and let us know if that fixes it.

Thank you for the super fast replies! @thesacredpath – is there anywhere specific I should be placing the missing information?

Just add it to the bottom of your CSS. You can style the “site generator” stuff as you see fit, but it has to remain on the site.

Making the #primary background #fff causes some of the sidebar to disappear for me. Tested in Chrome. But it’s a good start!
@weschyrchel, do you test CSS changes with Firebug? If you haven’t tried the live edit option, check it out because it’s fantastic! :) I tested the update from thesacredpath too and it looks good to me.
@actiondsc, note that the best practice is to just add updates to that page and not to copy and paste the entire original stylesheet. It makes it a lot easier to add changes and debug later if needed.

@actiondsc, great, @thesacredpath provided a great solution!
@designsimply, Yes! I do test changes with firebug, but I didn’t test this one before I suggested, sorry ;-( I thought it was an easy fix. It did appear as a clearing issue and I should have looked at that first. Thanks for the tip!
