Post background opacity

Transparent post background– I want to decrease opacity in the post background so the background picture can be seen. How do I do this? When I find a way I will also need to change the font color in the post.

Hi there,
Changes such as this can only be done via CSS changes which are available to you through the Custom Design addon that you got via your WordPress.com Premium upgrade. You can access the CSS editor by logging into your account’s Dashboard and then going to Appearance >> Customizer and editing the CSS there.
If you’re not familiar with CSS and are not comfortable with making changes, you may want to check out the forum which we’ve set up specifically for those who have and are looking to customize their site using CSS. You can find that here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
On this forum you can browse what others have and are looking to do, and if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can post the question yourself and one of the other members will help you out!

Thanks, I did that and did not see a solution that worked. Do you know of a page who uses transparent post backgrounds that I could look at their CSS? I know two bloggers who have this but they use HTML, not on WordPress.

Unfortunately I do not. You may need to actually post a request on the forum and someone on there may very well may have the solution for you!
