  Hi there,

  I have a couple of questions regarding the “Post by Email” feature:

  1. Is it possible to post by email, but then have it automatically delete after a certain time?
  2. Is it possible to edit an already published post by email?
  3. Is it possible to change the status (private etc.) of an already published post via post by email?

  No, there isn’t anyway to set a time limit on how long a post will be visible on your site. If you wish to do that, it will have to be set back to draft or moved to the trash via the WordPress browser interface.

  2. Is it possible to edit an already published post by email?

  No you cannot edit a post via the post by email.

  3. Is it possible to change the status (private etc.) of an already published post via post by email?

  This is also not possible.

  If you are working off of a phone or tablet though, you can do all the above with the WordPress Mobile Apps.

  Okay, thank you very much! Sadly the WordPress app doesn’t help with that situation, though just an idea from me to allow posts to automatically be deleted a certain length after it’s published via email! :)
