Post by email configuration/see author

Is there a way to configure the post by email function more than just on/off?
1. For example, can you set it so that posts submitted by email must be approved by an admin in order to show up on the blog? I know you can use the [status] tags, but if someone else is posting by email and don’t include this, is there a way for me to prevent stuff from showing up directly? Or even just presetting all submissions statuses as drafts?
2. Sort of a related question: is there a way to find out what email address sent the post by email? Or making a list of approved emails that will post directly?
I really like the post-by-email idea, but it worries me that stuff could go live directly before I’ve had a chance to look it over if other people are sending in stuff… :(
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have them send the Posts to you and you check them and then forward them to the blog.
No “moderate” email Posts that I am aware of – that is why we advise caution with that feature.
You are right – Post by email is great – I manage a blog for friends and they have no idea how to make a Post but they just Post by email and I will fine tune the Post a bit after it is published (I get an email when a Post is made on that site)

Why “post by email” can not supported the auto email sending from my self-hold wordpress blog? I just want to sync my article to wordpress.com automatically when I publish a new article?
Does anyone know how to do that?
