Post by Email – Custom Shortcodes

  I want to be able to add tags that delete certain areas from my email.

  For example,

  Info1 Info2 Info3 [ignore] sensitive information [/ignore] Info4 Info5 Info6

  would be displayed by

  Info1 Info2 Info3 Info4 Info5 Info6

  If you don’t want it to appear on the blog, why put it in the post by email?

  Seems to me more trouble adding the short code (if there is some) than just deleting the sensitive material – and much much safer – you can see exactly what is going to be posted.

  Yeah, if you mask the sensitive material it would not be included in the post anyway so why even include it?

  For example

  You want to email an entire mailing list. This includes sensitive information.

  You add your post-by-email onto this mailing list, mailing list parses sensitive information and logs it into a blog.

  Simple :)
