  Is there any reason why new posts in a category wouldn’t show on wordpress tag pages?

  I see your older posts within the tag system. It’s not instant for your posts to show up in the tag system. It only updates every so often. Give it a little bit of time.

  Still no sign of them, 5 hours later. Before they would always show up right away. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

  Reading further, I saw comments if a blog is marked as mature, it won’t show up in tag system. There is nothing in my blog that is even close to mature content. It’s all photos and none of them are even remotely mature.

  Any other reasons it wouldn’t be showing up?

  Thanks drmike, I’ll do that tomorrow.

  While I can see why someone might not want to page through pages of photo postings in the tag list, maybe if a person makes more than 4-5 posts in a category in a day, they could add a “more results from this blog/author” link so it’s not overwhelming.

  Some folks do go through 4-5 pages. At least that’s what my referrer lists say.

  I sent in feedback. It seems when I manually entered a post here on the site, it showed up in tag searches. My older posts were imported via XML (which I made with script). For my newer posts I used the flickr API to get my photo data, then used the API here to post them. Somewhere in this process the new posts don’t show up in tag searches.

  It seems your issue is only 50% fixed, because I can see you’re the featured blog on this tag: http://wordpress.com/tag/roadstreet/ but it doesn’t have anything between one month ago and the one you just posted.

  I’m sending in a feedback, too. Posts I made just a few days ago aren’t showing up in the tag pages, which is weird because I’m getting clicks from them, but only from Quizzes and Tests. I blogged about Britney busting out of rehab and don’t come up under the Britney tag at all.

  I’ m way new and maybe it’s my beat up laptop, I’ve only posted once but I don’t like to be “uncategorized.” There’s a search box for category but you have to guess I guess,,,no drop down menu. Don’t get that part.

  Someday I’ll look back at this lack of the good kind of standazation of terms etc and I’ll…groan as I am now. Sure is easy to sign up!

  no, it’s not a search box. It’s a box for you to type in whatever category you want to use. Then you click the Add button below and it becomes part of your category set. There are thousands of potential categories, so you just type in whatever you want to use.
