(Post) Categories is malfunctioning now

  In the Editor, under Categories, I just now added a new sub-category called Conservatism/Conservative movement. I went through the usual steps just like always, but this time instead of Conservatism/Conservative movement nestling as a sub-category under AMERICAN POLITICS, it is off, not even in alphabetical order, in the Categories list.

  It should be:
  American Politics
  – Conservatism/Conservative movement
  – Republicans/Republican party
  – Feminism

  But rather than the above, I see this:

  American Politics
  -Conservatism/Conservative movement

  (and -Republicans and -Feminism are off way down in the list as separate caegories!)

  I did check the CATEGORIES (for posts) page, and it looks like this, THE WAY I WANT IT TO LOOK:

  American Politics
  -Conservatism/Conservative movement
  -Feminism
  -Republicans/Republican party

  WHAT WENT WRONG AND HOW CAN I FIX IT? IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM NOT OF MY MAKING.
