'Post Comment' button not showing up

For some reason I can’t get the “post comment” button to show the blog. We’ve had a few comments a week or two ago but nothing lately. Then someone messaged me saying they tried to leave a comment but there was no button for them to submit it.

I have made comments available in Settings > Discussion as well as on the Edit Blog page > Screen Options > Discussion (plus the meta box).
As you can see from the link, the comment box appears, but no “post comment” button.

I am noticing that sometimes it is working and sometimes it isn’t. I’ve reloaded a bunch of times sometimes the “Post Comment” box appears with WP login details and sometimes it does not…

It sounds like comments need to be enabled for your posts. Since the site isn’t on WordPress.com I am not able to take a closer look at it. What I can see is here:

Hi Liz.
I have enabled comments for all posts. The comment box appears but the “Post Comment” button sometimes displays and sometimes does not.
There may be a theme problem.

Hi there,
It looks like the “Post Comment” button is displaying when a visitor is logged out of WordPress.com but is not showing for logged in users. Is this what you’re seeing as well or are their other situations where you’re not seeing the submit button?
As you are using Jetpack Comments, I would like to see if we can get to the bottom of this. From looking at your site, it appears you have other plugins installed which may be affecting Jetpack. Most notably I’m seeing JavaScript errors from Super Socializer when the Jetpack Post Comment button is not loading. Here’s a screenshot from my browser:

Could you try to disable other plugins, specifically those that are comment related such as Super Socializer to see if you can narrow down the cause of the conflict?
