Post compactability

Hi, I would like to make my audience have to do less scrolling on my blog page to get to older posts. Is there a way to have the title and picture displayed and then the story called with a click on the title?

  • Hi @beesea88 , there are several ways you could do something along those lines.

Could I recommend switching to a theme that doesn’t display the full post on the blog page?

For example, all of these will just show the first few lines of a post, if you choose:
    https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/blog-excerpts

Or you can find some here that don’t show an excerpt at all:
    https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/blog

Many of our themes have a “Try and Customize” option you can select, if you’d like, so you can see how they would look.

Another way you could go about this is to edit each post, and insert a “more” tag or block. That will break the post into a “read more” which users will have to click before they can view the whole thing.

Let us know if you have more questions about any of these options.
