Post count and archive wrong after import?

  Hi! I imported 4 xml files from Xanga. I should have 246 posts, but in my dashboard, it says ‘All (100) | Published (1) | Private (99)’. Should I try combining the xml files and reimport? Will it detect duplicate posts?

  Also, on my actual blog, the archive only shows ‘March 2004 (1)’, I assume because everything is private. Is there a way to make the calendar and archive show data for all the private posts?

  i fixed it. for future reference:

  – needed to combine the xml files into one for some reason
  – wordpress does detect duplicates
  – can’t find a way to make private posts show in calendar/archive. :(
