Post did not auto deliver to my followers or twiter this morning

  My blog did not auto deliver this morning to my followers. My twitter widget did not auto deliver notice of yesterday’s or today’s post. Anything I can do to fix this. I’m hosting an ADVENT CALENDAR, one post a day, through December. It is critical this gets fixed today! Thank you! Sharon Bryant

  My blog did not auto deliver this morning to my followers. My twitter widget did not auto deliver notice of yesterday’s or today’s post. All has worked fine up until now. I did add a Google + connection a few days ago. Have disconnected it now. Anything I can do to fix this? I’m doing an Advent Calendar blog so it is critical this gets fixed today! Thank you!

  Hi there,

  Are you using the Publicize feature to share your posts? I noticed that when I went to your sharing settings page (Settings > Sharing) that you do not have connections for your Twitter or Facebook accounts. Did you have these set up recently and then removed them?

  Happy to take a closer look, but you will need to have you social media profiles connected here in order for publicize to work as it should.

  Are you having troubles with this site, or one of the other sites under your user account?

  I had the problem with my primary blog http://sharonhbryant.com/ which I think is still connected to my facebook and twitter accounts. Today things are working normally but yesterday I did disconnect the account from google + (a sharing account I have no experience with). I thought I’d reconnect and see if things are still working tomorrow morning. Yesterday I also cleared my cache and discovered Diggit was somehow linked to the account. I disconnected that, too. Thanks for your help. I’ve never had a problem with WordPress before. So fingers crossed.

  Hi Sharon,

  Thanks for following up. One thing that I did notice is that you schedule a lot of your posts. Something to be aware of is that scheduled posts do not actually publish until the first visitor clicks into the site, even though the date on the post will still be what you specified.

  That first visitor clicking in is what triggers publication of the scheduled post, as well as sharing to any of your Publicize connections, so your shares may not be at the time you scheduled your posts to go out.
