Post did not publish to Facebook as intended
-
My post http://boslaal.com/2015/03/23/prestan-sa-vnimat-ako-obet/ did not publish to my Facebook page as intended. Had to post it manually. May be due to the reappearance of the beep-beep editor (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/editing-existing-posts-brings-the-beep-beep-editor-back-again?replies=1#post-2322901) as in THIS editor, only the LinkedIn option was active but in the classic editor ALL options – Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter are checked. Could you please do something about it? My next post is planned for tomorrow with correct settings in the classic editor and I wonder whether it will publish at all due to this beep-beep thing.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Helar,
I’ve recently run into this issue as well, and couldn’t figure out why one scheduled post would post correctly on Facebook/Twitter etc and another wouldn’t. If I schedule it through the beep-boop editor, the social sharing options are unticked whenever I save the post to schedule. Though if I go the WP Admin page, and re-enable the Social scheduling, the ticks stay, and the post is corrent on the Social pages.
Hope this helps,
Chris

The new editor has had issues with both Publicize and the scheduler in the past, so I won’t be at all surprised if that’s the case again.
If you scheduled the next post through the classic editor it should work.
Also keep in mind that Publicize sometimes just stops working. This could be due to changes in the software with either WordPress.com or Facebook (or whichever services you have connected). In those cases it can usually be fixed by reconnecting the specific service. Note that when reconnecting you must first disconnect the service in both WordPress.com settings AND the settings of the specific social media platform: https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services

@kokkieh:
I created and scheduled the post with the classic editor and when I open it in the classic editor, the Publicize options are all there. When I open it (accidentally) in the beep-boop editor, the Publicize options are unchecked. There is discrepancy between those two. I do not use the beep-boop editor at all so I do not understand why the post was not published as scheduled in the classic editor and why the new beep-boop editor keeps re-appearing when I click “edit”. -

As I explained in this thread (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/editing-existing-posts-brings-the-beep-beep-editor-back-again?replies=2#post-2322953), the browser cookie that set the preference for the classic editor no longer works since they removed the link to switch editors, so the on-page and admin bar edit links now only go to the new editor.
See the other thread for a workaround that forces a redirect to the classic editor that should hopefully also help for this.

Heh, another problem: I just opened the post scheduled for tomorrow in the beep editor to check whether all Publicize options are on. With this special post, Twitter is disabled and I am not able to click it on. I made a screen shot of it: https://boslaal.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/bos1.jpg. When I checked the Sharing page, all three are enabled. Screenshot here: https://boslaal.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/bos2.jpg.

Another blogger with the same issue resolved it by using the classic editor.
The Classic Editor will continue to exist in wp-admin. We know some users prefer to use this editor, so we want you to have access to it, instead of phasing it out with the new version of the Dashboard. However, a link to the Classic Editor will not return to the New Editor. From: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/when-editing-an-old-post-how-do-i-switch-to-the-classic-editor?replies=5#post-2316097
Dashboard > Posts > Add New
Bottom line: Staff removed the link in the new editor to the classic editor but there are two workarounds that can be used found here:

Hey there! We had a bug that affect the Publicize feature for about 24 hours. It’s working again, so if you update your post and select the sharing services those notifications will go out. :)
