Post disappeared completely from online wordpress blog.

  Hi,
  I have(had) a post entitled ‘Update’ that dates back to automne (oct or nov) 2015 that has completely disappeared from my blog and admin dashboard. It is nowhere to be found. All my posts are stored online, I have no installed database. I have no memory of trashing it but between the iPhone app (wich had glitches and kept asking me to repost articles I had already posted or making already posted article as ‘local’ on my phone and having to repost those) and the site, maybe. I also have other articles that have the same name. could that becausing the deletion? I’m also pretty sure I have several other ‘update’ posts that have disappeared but of course can’t remember now how many and form when, its been so long. Is it possible for the WordPress team to retrieve it/them somewhere, somehow? Thanks

  Hi @naomigraben, our logs say you trashed a post about a month ago, and it was deleted about a week ago. Would that be the one?

  Hi, it could be. But I think that may have been a test I did because I couldn’t find the trash to check if the post I was missing was there. I don’t remember trashing anything and I only noticed the post was missing when I tried to export it and couldn’t find it. I have no idea when it could have happened to pinpoint a specific deletion date. The post would have been entitled “update”. It could have happened before that. I’ve only evere voluntarily trashed 2-3 articles at the most. I don’t know how far back you can go, but if you can retrieve as many as possible then I can go through them and see if it’s there. It was a very long post with no media by the way.

  Just realized i am logged in with my husband’s account and he is also admin of our blog. maybe he deleted something by accident.

  I can’t see the title of the post that was deleted, but I can confirm that something was indeed trashed a month ago. I am guessing that was it.

  @naomigraben had you contacted us a month ago when the post was only trashed, you could have undeleted it easily. But because it’s fully been deleted, we can’t restore it at this point.
