Post disappeared from Global Tag pages

  I posted about five hours ago. The post showed up on the Global Tag list for photography. When I checked awhile ago, it wasn’t there. There are posts from recent to two hours ago and then jumps to five hours ago with a few two hours sprinkled within. It is as if a gap of time where posts disappeared. I checked using IE7 and FireFox…same results.

  So I wonder, what happened? Glitch?

  It seems to have happened again. My recent post appeared in the photography Global Tag list and then disappeared by five hours old. I use the tag ‘photography’ with most of my posts and I don’t use a lot of tags or categories.

  I wonder why this is happening?

  Just a hunch, but have you edited the time/datestamp on those posts at all, either prior to posting or afterwards?

  Hi raincoaster. No, I haven’t edited the time/datestamp on the posts. That is something I haven’t done at all with any posts.

  What’s the title of the blog post that SHOULD be the most recent? I see “Old Mac.”

  Hi raincoaster. After I read about the time/datestamp, I decided to experiment. I changed the time/datestamp on the most recent post “Old Mac” from yesterday to this morning. This is one of the posts that disappeared from Global Tags. Well, it shows updated with the other tags but not in the ‘photography’ tag on the Global Tags pages. So, I don’t know (shrugging shoulders).

  I can’t explain the photography tag. The effect on Sunday could well be related to a short period of maintenance on the tags database. I can’t be sure, but as both events happened at the same time that’s my best guess.

  If this happens again could you send a support and link back to this thread? I’ll then get it looked into.
