Post doesn't appear in the reader

  Dear Support Team,

  I just discovered that my newest post doesn’t appear in the reader. The tags and the structure seem ok to me. Could you please have a look and tell me what the problem is? Thanks a lot in advance!

  Howdy Gill,

  Thanks for sending the link over. At this time, the WordPress.com Reader only pulls in posts on WordPress.com for the tags views—not WordPress.org-hosted sites using Jetpack. Folks who subscribe to your site or add your site via the RSS feed will continue to see your sites in while they’re logged into the Reader.

  While we’re looking at ways to help Jetpack users gain more visibility, I don’t a timeline yet for any enhancements.

  Hi,

  Thanks for the quick reply. I find it strange though, because couple of days ago I wrote another post on my self-hosted blog, and it appears in the reader:
  http://truestorieswithgill.com/2014/01/10/from-zero-to-10000-followers-in-two-months/

  Any idea why it worked for this one?

  Sorry, me again, just to clarify what I mean by “appears in the reader”:

  I follow my self-hosted blog with my WordPress.com account to be able to check how it appears for the other readers. So when I log in in the reader on WordPress.com, I can’t see my last post, but the one before last is showing up. Just wondering what could have caused this difference.

  Aaaand… me again (sorry). Just checked the reader again. The post is now there, although I’m absolutely positive it didn’t appear there right after publishing as it normally did when I was on .com. I checked multiple times and on different time during the day. Is it possible that the posts appear in the reader with some delay because of self-hosting?

  Anyhow, I guess you can close this issue now. Thanks :)

  Howdy,

  Well, I’m glad it’s there now! That’s possible it was delayed in processing. Typically, it’s pretty speedy upon publication, but with communicating back and forth between the different servers involved, snags can occur.

  Let me know if you need anything else and thanks for updating the thread multiple times. It can be disheartening to reply to someone who then replies “oh yeah, I figured it out already.”. :-)
