Post Doesn't REtain Formatting and Links

  I am looking to publish a post. Typically, I have been able to draft the post in Word with all the formatting and hyper linked text and then simply pasting it into the visual tab of a post. This retains all the formatting and links. Now, I do the same and it copies as plain text only. This will literally create significantly more re-work. Can you please let me know how I can go back to previous setting that allows for easy cut and paste?

  There were some recent changes to the Visual Editor and Image Editor. You can read more about those changes here:

  As part of this change, we have also removed the “Paste as (Microsoft) Word” button from the Visual Editor toolbar in your post/page editor window. Most of the time, you should now be able to paste text from Word and other pre-formatted text without an issue. If you still need a plain-text paste option, you can use the “Paste as Text” button (the upper case T).
