post draft published to wrong date.
-
Normally I keep a few drafts ahead and post each weekday. When I press publish, the date changes to the current one automatically. Yesterday when I published the date went to the previous day and today it went to the 30th June, eek! I have edited the date but it hasn’t gone onto the right day and I am not sure how to move it or what has happened. Please help!!

Whoa…I changed the schedule date for a second time and this time it put it in the right place. I still don’t know why it did it in the first place though. Will be leaving yesterdays in the wrong spot, too scared to do anything in case I stuff it up!

The post that went to the 30th of June was ‘A bad husband and a tooth in a pocket 1838’. I have fixed it and it is now on the right day. The one that went to the previous day and I have left is ‘things in unexpected places’.

Was “things in unexpected places” scheduled? If so, do you remember when you scheduled it for?
-
‘Things in unexpected places’ was just a draft that I published. Until I tried to change the other one to the right day I had never used scheduled before.

I think I have worked out why the draft went to the wrong place. I published it without changing anything and it hadn’t had time to update the draft so the date stayed the same as the day the draft was created.

That sounds about right, thanks for letting us know!
You can always alter the date after the fact by editing the post.
