Post excepts disapearing / Random imahes being uploaded (not by me) into my media library

  Hi, I am using Canvas – on WordPress. I have been using the theme for years and never had any real problems.

  But I have just logged back in to post a new feature and noticed two things:

  1) The excepts that used to feature next to the headline and freatured image on the home page have now disappeared – and I cannot find any way that works to get them back.

  2) There are some random images uploaded into my media library – they look like stock images, pretty non-descript, but nothing to do with me.

  Honestly it feel like I’ve been hacked, but I would really appreciate any help/advice from someone more knowledgable.

  About a year ago you had also problems with your site http://www.birminghamreview.net, but unfortunately we can’t help you as your site is not on the wordpress.com servers.
