post-expiration renewal problems
-
I foolishly let my subscription expire four months ago, but I was still allowed to “renew” it today. However, now that I have paid for the renewal, it’s still not working. The error messages I’m getting aren’t perfectly clear, but some of them suggest someone else may have bought it. Within that number of them, some suggest I can purchase it back from the new owner and some seem to suggest I cannot… How confusing. The blog I need help with is DanielLiebermanMusic.com
Please help me get my site reactivated!

The same way you did it the first time. :)
See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/
After you do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient. -
Already tried that. :)
First I got a message saying something like the domain is mapped but not registered. I figured maybe I could register it anew like the first time, but now I get a message saying, “Sorry, that site already exists!”.

Sorry for the confusion! The expired domain was still in our system, which made it look like the domain wasn’t available to register. I just cleared that out so you can head to the Domains page to re-register the domain. (I added the $13 you paid for the domain mapping as credit on our account, which will show up when you check out.)
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
