Post Featured Image Header not working

    We moved the website from the free “Bethhatikva.wordpress.com” to a paid for hosted site which is NOT through wordpress.com (bethhatikva.com) and now both the internal color themes and the post and page featured image header image is not showing up.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    You’re right that the custom colour schemes included in WordPress.com aren’t, by default, available for sites that are hosted elsewhere.

    I’ve gone ahead to copy the CSS for the colour scheme you were using on your WordPress.com site at the following link:

    You can copy/paste the above to the custom CSS for your new site to replicate the look of your WordPress.com site.

    As you already have Jetpack installed then a straightforward way to add CSS is to enable its custom CSS module. (Alternatively you can set up a child theme or activate a standalone CSS plugin.)

    Oh, I didn’t address your question about featured images. Sorry!

    Could you navigate to Appearance > Customize in your site’s /wp-admin area then select the Content Options tab? From there, please confirm that the check box next to “Display on single posts” underneath the “Featured Images” is checked.

    If that box is definitely checked, please post to the WordPress.org forum and we can troubleshoot further from there:
