Post Format
-
Hi guys
I’ve noticed a problem when I make a post. Sometimes the title doesn’t show and on investigation, I found that the post format list shows standard listed twice, once at the top of the list and once at the bottom, and is checked on the lower one. If I change it to the top one it puts my title back.
I reported this some months ago and it still appears to be here. Any ideas?
Thanks
Richard.

Are you writing the posts via the Visual editor tab, HTML editor tab, full screen editor, or the New Post on the main WordPress.com page?
-
-
Hm, it sounds like it may be a problem with the app.
Have you tried our app?
-
I have yes but it happens on that too. I did a post today and the title was missing. When I checked I saw two standards in the format section. It’s not a new or recent problem.

I’m not seeing any of the problems you’re referring to at http://richardaitkins.wordpress.com/
Are you referring to a different blog?
-
Same blog. Happened today as I said. It put in another standard box at the bottom of the list.

Would you please take a screenshot of what you’re referring to and upload it via Media -> Add New in your Dashboard so I can take a look?

Hi richardaitkins,
Could you provide an example of a post where you’ve noticed this issue occurring? When I opened several posts for editing, the “Standard” post format option only appeared once. Thanks!

It happened on the very last post I wrote which was today. When I published it, it didn’t have the title. I edited the post to change it from the bottom standard to the one at the top, and it added the title.

We’d like to rule-out a theme-specific issue. Would you please temporarily switch to Twenty Eleven while we sort this out?

While you have Twenty Eleven active, would you please try creating a private or draft post through your Dashboard, not the app?
