Post Format?

I am using the Autofocus theme. When I go to settings it shows that I have many formatting options to choose from for posts, however when I go to the post pages to write a new post, there are no options or an area to select a different style of post. I have tried changing the formatting in settings but see no difference when I check my projects page.
Does teh Autofocus theme have different post formats? Thanks!

The short answer is, no. Post formats change how a post (image, standard, quote, link, etc.) is displayed on the frontpage/homepage. Because Autofocus has a special layout for the frontpage, post formats are not available.

Hi JustJennifer! Thanks for the response. I just wanted to make sure as I had seen different formats on the settings page.
I am about to look into your suggestions from the other thread. This is the first I have been able to get back to it. I really looked at the Autofocus theme before I signed up. It will work for what I want, I was just hoping to tweak it a bit. ;) Plus, I just over think things a little. WordPress is so easy that it’s throwing me off. I’m used to building from the ground up, so the “easy” is making it complicated, lol.

You mean under Settings>Writing Settings>Default Post Format? I see how that could be confusing!
Just to make extra sure, I changed my demo blog to Autofocus and indeed there is no option to choose post format on a post-by-post or bulk edit basis.

I have the same problem, BUT in the beginning my posts were ‘galleries’ which allows the viewer to mouse over the front page and see the titles of the galleries, now for some reason, all the NEW posts I make are in standard format and the viewer cannot see the title appearing when mousing over de front page of the new posts. I really want to have these titles appear and I don’t understand how at first it worked and now it doesn’t anymore. So there should be a way to change it no? Or did de template magically change?? :-( Check out my blog: the 01 august one on Namibia does not show a title and the others do, the new ones that I haven’t posted yet also don’t show titles
