Post Format feature making no difference to my posts
-
Hi,
I created a couple of posts on my blog, and tried to assign different post formats to each. While I was able to select from the 9 post formats and save it, the output of the published pages did not change at all.
I read on these forums that I must first enable these post formats by adding a line of coding in my functions.php file. However, in my dashboard under appearances, I don’t see ‘editor’ as an option (using wordpress.com, not wordpress.org). So how do i access the functions.php file without the editor? Is there an alternative way of enabling these post-formats for my blog? Since I see these options, I would asuume my theme supports it. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It appears that the theme you are using, Sela https://wordpress.com/themes/sela/ supports the following Post Formats: Aside, Gallery, Image, Quote, Video
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/You will see these specially formatted posts only on the front blog page. Since it appears you are using a static front page on your site, and your “Travel” page at thepuresenses.wordpress.com/blog/ is set up as the Posts page, you should see that special formatting there.
