Post format on blog page

  The front page that shows my posts as a group — mostly poems and art — does not format correctly. No photos appear. And the poems turn into lines of prose with the categories, tags, etc. all included in a jumble.

  I want my poems to appear as poems with art work for each. Can this theme do this, or do I need to go back to another one? I really like the simplicity and the footer widgets.
