Post formats for iTheme2

  Hi, just a quick question on the iTheme2 Theme:

  In the iTheme2 Live Demo it shows an example (if you scroll down..) of a ‘Status’ and ‘Chat’ post format.. although it is not an ‘option’ when you go to create a new post. Is this no longer available in this theme? (If so, perhaps it should be updated)

  The Blog I’m referring to is set to ‘Private’.. (not referring to my main blog ) but the question is regarding the live demo of the theme (link above).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I just activated iTheme2 on a test site of mine, and I can confirm that I do get the Post Format selection option, exactly as mentioned here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/#how-do-i-use-post-formats

  Can you check that help page and see if you have the option on yours?

  Heh, sorry I didn’t notice that you were asking specifically about the Status and Chat option.

  I checked the theme’s source code and nope, the theme doesn’t seem to offer both of them anymore, only these:

  add_theme_support( 'post-formats', array( 'aside', 'image', 'video', 'quote', 'link', 'gallery' ) );

  https://wpcom-themes.svn.automattic.com/itheme2/functions.php

  Now I’m not sure why the demo has them, probably the types were added using an older version of the theme.

  Hi there,

  Thanks for pointing out this issue on the iTheme2 demo site. The Chat and Status post formats aren’t supported by this theme. I let our theme team know about the issue so they can review the theme’s demo site. Thanks!

  Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I’ve made a fix to iTheme2 such that it will only display the respected post formats. I hope this helps. :)
