Post formats not working (browser-version)

Hello,
I am totally new to WordPress and I am trying to change the post format. My theme (Scratchpad) supports all types and has pretty designs. I can select them, but it doesn’t change visually. Does anybody know what I am dong wrong?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Issues like the one you describe are browser related or are connectivity related. Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at https://browsehappy.com

Hello!
It suddenly worked! I don’t know what’s the deciding step, so here’s what I did:
I reinstalled Chrome (57.0.2987.133) on Windows 10.
I reinstalled the theme (Scratchpad).
I cleared my browser’s cookies and cache.
I deleted my old post again and started a new one (it was just a quote). It still didn’t show in the preview, but it did when I published it.
Here it is: https://lariatura.wordpress.com/ (it’s the newest post)For now every format works (except it still doesn’t show it in the preview, when the post isn’t published)
Thanks for the tipps, I don’t know what it was, but something helped :)

Great news! I’m curious about the post preview though. Can you tell me if you’re working from the new interface or the classic wp-admin one?

Thank you. I’ll need to do a bit more testing and I’ll post an update back here once I have more information to share.
Are you on Windows or Mac? Which version? I’ll need to replicate your environment for testing.

I think my issue may be a little different. The support documentation says I should see a “format module ” on the right to choose a format if my theme supports post formatting (which is the reason I chose scratchpad). I don’t have this module on my screen. I’m running the latest version of Chrome on Windows 10. Is this a related problem that you can help with?

The preview is showing the full post view, this is the same view you see if you click on the post from the home page on the blog. This view does not support the post formats. You’ll only see the post formats on the display page for the posts. I understand that is a bit confusing when you try to “preview” your posts with a specific format selected.
What I suggest is to open up your site in a separate tab so that you can see it live in action and toggle between the two to see if the post format looks the way you want it to.
