Post Formatting using HIVE theme
-
Hi!
I recently purchased the ‘Hive’ premium theme. One of the selling points, for me, was how you could utilize the portrait and landscape post formats with the Hive theme (see this link: https://wordpress.com/themes/hive/). Now that I’ve purchased the theme and am working on editing my content/figuring out how to use all the features…I can’t seem to figure out how to create a post using portrait or landscape formats. Uhg!
When I’m working on a post, the sidebar labeled “Post Format” gives the following options: standard, aside, gallery, image, audio, video, quote, link, status and chat. Can anyone help me figure out how to create posts using the landscape and portrait formats?! Thank you!

Hello Macey!
This isn’t actually a setting that can be adjusted, rather, Hive is programmed to best layout your images and text based on the content you’ve added.
I do have some advice, that will help ‘force’ the layout. Try using both a landscape and a portrait featured image. This image, that will appear at the top of the post, will also help determine which layout in which your post will be published.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
