Post free blog
-
Hello, our professor told us that the blog would be free, however, I have unable to launch and make free blog visible to my classmates. Please advise.

I need to make visible to my class: acceptabilityoftelemedicine.wordpress.com.
I started/signed up for the free wordpress blog. I made the post “Public” and set it to be published on Oct 20th, 2020.
However, every time I go to launch the site, I am prompted to pay for it, but I only need to show the one free blogpost for my class. Please let me know if we are now required to pay to make a blogpost public.
Thank you.

What exactly has prevented you launching your free site? Did you click on “skip purchase” next to your free address (which is below the offer of paid domains).

What has prevented me from the launching the free site is there is no option to select “skip purchase” next to the free address. Every page leads me to make a purchase and “skip purchase” option is not there.
The free blogpost has already been written, now I need to launch it and make it visible to the public.

It should take two or three clicks to get a free site up and running. What steps are you taking? Have you perhaps placed a paid plan in your shopping cart? After clicking the “launch” button the top field needs to be left empty and the free site address will be at the bottom of the page. Perhaps try with a different browser.

I watched the following video as an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBcsj3LNtxM
At the 15:19 mark, the user launches the site and is able to choose to “skip purchase.”
I was trying it Chrome and Internet Explorer (cleared the cookies and cache, and reset both browsers), but nothing appeared and there was no purchase in my cart.
I had to download and use Edge. The “Skip Purchase” option now appears. Thank you.
