Post gone missing after successful publication

  A post I published last week (2/19) disappears and now gives a 404 error. I need to recover it. I have tried everything I could find on Forums about this problem; none worked. (It’s not in my trash, nor in my cache…) IS THERE ANYTHING that can be reasonably done about this? I have seen a lot of comments blaming the new editor… if this is a known problem, without a workaround, please let me know – we’re about to upgrade our blog and if this is a problem I need to expect, I’ll plan accordingly. Thank you.

  The Blue Death Beep Beep editor seems to have some problems at times – use the classic editor from the Dashboard or an offline editor

  I see you got this resolved with another HE, but for others reading this in the forums,

  It’s easy to overwrite existing posts if you have different browser tabs open with the editor loaded in each. We’re working on a solution, but at the moment it is best to only have the editor open in one tab/window at a time.

  Thanks Liz – yes I was pleased with the response & absolutely THRILLED to be able to recover the post. The moral, folks: don’t panic – check the revisions for other posts published/drafted around the same time.
