    HI,

I had completed one of my post in 2019.
Today I revisited it and I realized that it’s missing 60% of the material.
It ends abruptly and rest of it is lost.

Following is the link to the post.

How can I recover my post?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi there,

Are you speaking of https://karakorumdiary.wordpress.com/2018/04/20/malangutti2018/? That’s the post with the id, 73, you indicated above, but that post was published in April 2018, not in 2019.

Can you tell me a bit about what’s missing from that post?

I see that’s an extremely long post, and for me it ends with a paragraph under the heading, 02-May-2018.

Based on the one snapshot I could find for your site on the Internet Archive (dated March 2021), that’s the entire post:

    https://web.archive.org/web/20210314111506/https://karakorumdiary.wordpress.com/

In that snapshot the malangutti2018 post also ends with the 2 May 2018 entry.

If there was more content besides that, it either was never properly saved to our servers, or it might have been removed due to an edit at some point, but because of the amount of content on that post I can’t get the revision history to load to check when that might have happened.

    Hello,

    Thank you for quick response.
I guess I panicked because it indeed was my most extensive work so when I saw 3 days’ data absent from the post I created the post.

I did start writing it in 2018, but completed it in 2019.
I saw the revision and realized some 26 k words were trimmed in a revision in 2021. I don’t know how did it happen, but I restored that version and now post it fine.

Thank you so much for prompt response.

    Regards.
