Post has gone missing
-
Hi,
I’ve just made a post on my blog about half an hour ago, I published it but it is nowhere to be found. The draft is gone, I’ve checked the trash, it doesn’t show up on my blog. It’s just vanished. Help would be appreciated. The blog in question is https://abooknerd13.wordpress.com/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I can see a post titled Book Un-haul in the Trash folder for your site – it appears to have been deleted a few minutes before you created this forum thread:
https://abooknerd13.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=post
Is that perhaps what you’re looking for?
I don’t see any other post or draft that has a similar title, and nothing else shows as having been deleted from your site.

Hi,
No, that is not it. That’s a different one and I deleted that on purpose. The one I am talking about simply vanished. I’d had it in my drafts for months, then I published it. It was there, published. I could see it on my blog. And then half an hour later it had vanished without trace even though I had not even been active on WordPress during that time. But i definitely made that post because I can still see the media I uploaded for it in my library.
I’ve seen several threads like this one on the forum and none of them seemed to have any resolution. So this is evidently not an isolated event and it might be worth looking into what could be causing the issue. :/

Is this perhaps the post?
It’s publication date is 30 April, but it’s showing changes made on Friday. If that’s the post, it could be that the date you started working on the draft was saved as the publication date, and when you published the post on Friday it used that date as a result, instead of the actual publication date.
This should only happen if you explicitly selected a publication date and saved it, but it’s possible you could have done that without intending to while clicking through the different settings in the editor.
