post images grouped as one on page and not differentiated by each post

on my landing page i have my posts. there are 2 so far. i want them to have the pictures featured on those pages but they dont show up when i put them as featured images so i didnt. not sure how to make them alt images like it says to do. but how can i unlink the images i upload to go with the posts? or should i find a way to make alt images?

Hi there,
It is possible to feature images from your blog posts (on other areas of your site) but to do so you will need to add an image to the Featured Image setting for each of your blog posts. I noticed that you have not added an image in this place when I check on my end:
If you set featured images for both of your posts they should show up on your homepage blog feed.

thanks so much it worked! i had to redownload the theme as a zip and upload again because i had messed it up
