Post images in comments?

Before posting, I just noticed that kruidenwijkalmere was able to post the very same comment successfully.
Is this your husband?
-
Yes, that`s my husband and as I said here before:
If I post a comment with an image on my own blog, the image is visible, but when I post it on a blog of one of my friends then it failed…nothing to see in the comment.
So, he has the same problem
-
Oh, wait, I see the problem.
I’m sorry about the confusion on this. You actually need to be an author or higher on the blog to post comments with images in the HTML.
Otherwise, can you image how that would be abused? eek! :(
Sorry about not thinking of that sooner!
-
Do I understand it correctly that only the author can post an image in a comment ?
And friends don`t ?
If so, I`m not amused :(I don`t understand the following sentence:
Otherwise, can you image how that would be abused? eek! :(
-
Well, imagine if a random reader dropped by and left an animated ad, or worse yet a naked photo, in the comments?
The possibilities for abuse are almost limitless.
-
I find that nonsense, because users can choose for approve first, before the comment is posted.
And why doesn`t WordPress choose for a robot…that “thing” where you have to fill in random numbers and letters before posting a comment.
Lots of weblogs make use of that. Most of my friends find it a lack of service and so do I
When its someones birthday, you would like to post a congratulation with a picture, or…
When someone has a death in the family, I`d like to post a image-wish for strength…Isn`t it possible that WordPress could make this available ?
You would make many bloggers happy with that possibility -
-
OK, it would be nice if this is going to be a new feature.
I’m hoping for a positive outcome.
Thanks for the support.
