Post in the wrong place

  I have a Home page and on down on the right side I have the word comments and one Events to click on and view things.
  The Question—When I post a new message in the comment or events category it also posts it on the home page also. How do I stop it from posting on the home page and leave the message in the comment or events category

  All post that you write will show up in the main blog page. That is the way blogs work. There is no way to not have them display in the main page and only in a category page.

  One solution would be to set up a static front page and in the body of that page, create links to the categories so that you can make the reader read things as you want them to. You would still have a typical blog page, but it would not be the main landing page.
