Post Info window affecting margins

On my blog: mymidnightmuse.wordpress.com the post enjoy a nice wide margin, with the Post Info window at the top of the post, right underneath the post title. Today I posted a long one, using the trunicating option – which worked great. But when you click Read More, and the full post opens up, the Post Info section becomes a square window on the far right of the post, and the margins of the entire long post are then altered to the more narrow width of the post margin AND the Post Info window.

How can I make that Post Info ‘window’ go back to being a bar underneath the post title, and free up that huge amount of right margin?

If you click on the title of any of your posts to go to the dedicated post page, you will see the same behavior. It’s how the theme designer designed it, for whatever reason. I don’t know if that can be corrected by modifying the CSS (with the CSS upgrade) or if it is part of the theme framework, which we cannot modify.

Please post the URL with the http part, so we can click on it (or switch your forum profile so it links to your blog). For whatever reason, just inputting the text you’ve given doesn’t work for me and I can’t take a look till I post a live link, myself.

OT: many publishers overlook digital publication when negotiating first rights. It’s happened to a couple of people I know personally. They may not be called “First worldwide rights” but the advance is just as big.

Thesacredpath – thank you, I hadn’t realized that, but now I see what it’s doing. I’ll have to compensate for that and perhaps not trunicate – since I like this particular template too much to switch!

Raincoaster – sorry about the http, I was keyboard happy and should have realized that. As to your OT – yes, it depends on agents and rights – it’s up to the agents to consider, and that also depends on the publishers they’re dealing with.

You’re welcome. You’re viewers will also see the narrower text column if they go to any of your posts via the sidebar widgets such as the top posts, categories or archives, etc. As long as the stick to the main page, or use the previous/next links at the bottom of the page, they will see them the way you want them.
