post is not in summary forum

hello .. i went into my admin section and clicked on the button so that my posts dont appear in full on the main page, but just as a summary. Any way i really need for this to work as some of my post are long, but it just is not working, as the posts continue to be full in length.
Does any one know hoe to fix this problem

In your admin section you can specify that rss feeds display only a summary but this does not have any affect whatsoever on the displaying of posts on your main page. If you wish to have posts on your main page in summary form then you must inject more-<!–more–> into the text of each post in the spot where you wish the summary to end.

i tried it but on the page it just come up with
<!–more–> and the text still shows after it .. do i have to put <!–more–> in a link to make it work? -
Do not put anything into a link. Type all of this next line into your post and save the post

Okay now I’m assuming that there is a problem with the theme you are using called Ambiru. Your only choice at this point is to send in a feedback to staff with a link back to this thread. The feedback button is on the top right nand side on all of your pages.

well i used heaps of dirrent theams to test it out and it still dont work .. any way i send them an e-mail so hopefully they will help me out .. thnaks any way
