Post Layout Issue

I have a blog at jewishschoolathome.info . I want a simple layout with pages of posts/comments, then when the page is full the next page. But I have a major and minor issue.

The major issue is I cannot find how to get the posts is ascending date order, not descending. In a computer blog descending makes sense, but here I feel the reader will not understand what is happening without the first posts, and going back eventually 10 pages is not a good idea.

The minor issue is that I would like the longer posts to do what I have seen elsewhere which is show a few paragraphs and then have a “more” or the like so that long posts do not ruin the page’s appearance.

    Thanks.
