Post looks how I want it when I write it and then looks different on the site

    I have written 2 blog posts, both of which contain a photo in them. when I preview the post it looks exactly how I want it, so I publish it, and then when I look at it on the actual site; a large awkward cropped version of one of the photos in the post appears before the content of the post when it is opened. how can I get rid of this? when I am on the edit page, the large photo that I want gone is not there.
