post nav removal – post background color change

Could you tell me how to change post background color. I tried page id but it doesnt seem to be working.
Also, how can I remove post navigation from top left of post – and is it possible to remove the information POSTED ON— BY Bonnyreg.I am using the toolbox theme.

This will get rid of “post navigation” at the top of the pages and also at the bottom above the widgets.

The way your CSS is done, to change the background color on a post looks like it might require a number of additions to your CSS.
