post-new.php error: Line: 63, Char: 429, Error: Permission Denied

I found an almost identical post (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/158137) but the topic was closed without stating the resolution!

    HELP!!!

I have this problem, only started recently, unsure what to do. Using another PC I was able to update my blog but its not working on my main one. Apparently some issue with WinXP / Inernet Explorer 7? I tried clearing cookies related to WordPress and turned off my spyware protector but no luck… unlike the other poster, my blog is hosted @ WordPress.

I WAS able to get into another blog hosted @ WordPress on the same computer without generating the error message!?!

It happens when I go to write a new post….

    any thoughts???

Well, guess it would be to optimistic to assume that a forced reload could do it. But here you have the guidelines:

    Force Refresh or Reload

Actually it sounds like a bug. Perhaps you should submit a feedback to staff?

  • Which blog are you referring to? What is the error message? What exactly happens, and what is the title of the post that is the problem?

    I figured it out!

univ – thanks for the info on the forced reload, actually I had never heard of that! and its not really a bug I think…

telly – the similar post is the one I provided the link for. Actually, there’s another one too but I didn’t save that link…

the blog that failed is my client’s blog… the one that worked is mine.

However, the problem is actually not related to WHO’s blog it is but how its accessed. For my client, I set up a home page that loads the blog into a frame. I used to do that for my site but recently changed my home page to open a new tab/window with the blog in that.

When the blog is in a frame in the home page, I noticed that the URL on the address line remains pointing to the home page even though I’m working in WordPress. BTW – I’m attempting to use the Write/Post page to generate a new post…. When that page loads (actually its loading the post-new.php page from the wordpress site) Internet Explorer indicated an error – the one I listed….

When the page is accessed directly, NOT from within a frame, then it all works. So the permission denied error is somehow caused by the frame usage. Perhaps the cookies are confused – I’m not sure.

The workaround is when on the home page where the blog is in a frame, RIGHT CLICK on the blog’s login link – to open that in a new window…then all will work as expected!

thanks for the thoughts & ideas folks!!
    Mark

Glad you found a way out that you can live with. That frame embed sounds interesting.
    :-D)))

I wish we could see that blog in a frame. But since the blog belongs to a client, that would be difficult…

I wonder if the blog feed still works?

I had the same issue. This topic helped me out. I had been working fine until I created a new domain name and forwarded the domain to my wordpress blog. I used URL masking so the URL never changed to the actual wordpress URL. Trying to edit from within that window was not going well, but once I went to the URL for wordpress directly, everything was fine. Thanks!
