post-new.php Over 1 minute to load

Hi Guys,
Today when creating a post the admin new page (post-new.php) takes around 1 minute 30 seconds to load. It appears to be the tinymce component thats causing the delay.
The page takes around 20 seconds to partially display, the title field is editable but the content box is not and the formatting toolbar does not display till the page has fully loaded over a minute later.
Any ideas as to how I can find the cause.
BTW Edge seems to load the page in around a 3rd of the time to that of chrome. -
Hi @richfrostuk Just to be certain, are you talking about a site hosted on WordPress.com? Without a link to the site you need help with, we really can’t begin to answer or assist.

No it’s my own install of wordpress… been fine for 2 years over and all of a sudden slow posting. Everything has been updated. I’ve disabled plugins / themes to be sure but the posting issue remains.
Unsure how to diagnose the problem?

We provide support here only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM and that site is not among them. We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
