Post Not Appearing In Global Tag Search

Sometime earlier this week, I noticed whenever I clicked the tags on any of my post, the majority (in most cases all) of my previous post were not appearing in the global tag search page. When I first noticed it earlier this week, I figured it was probably some temporary problem WP was working on, but nothing has changed. I haven’t changed any of my privacy settings or any other setting at all.
I was wondering was anyone else having or had this problem and is there anything that can be done about it?

Some of your posts might be getting excluded due to too many combined tags and categories. In general a maximum combined total of 10 (tags + categories) is OK, but anything over that and you run the risk of being excluded. The reason for this is past abuse of tags and categories. In some instances people had more tags than they had words in their posts, and the worst offender I saw was one where they had the same 100+ tags on each and every post no matter if they were appropriate or not.

I have been using more tags (10+ tags) this week than I normally do, but I don’t think that’s the problem in this case.
For instance, I’ve been posting old hip-hop songs nearly every Friday for the past 6 months. I call it “Friday Raps”.

With global tags, if you get hit for using too many, I’ve seen it block future posts as well. That said, there has been some flakiness with the global tags pages lately, so you might want to contact staff directly at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ . Since it is the weekend, there are fewer staff on duty, so it might be monday or tuesday before they get back to you.

Hopefully my post haven’t been blocked, but I do think it’s just as you’ve said, the global tags are acting odd. I’ll wait it out a day or two then contact WP’s staff as you recommended.
