Post not appearing in reader section. Is my website flagged?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, my website (https://muzakkirmasum.wordpress.com) is not being displayed in the reader section, although the posts have relevant tags. I am not using too many tags as well, usually 7-8 tags in each post. I have NOT been notified of any flagging or inappropriate content in my blog. I am not getting any views or followers, so I am getting extremely discouraged. How can I solve this issue? Is there any way I can know why is this happening?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey There!
Thanks for reaching out, and I understand how discouraging it can be when your posts aren’t showing up in the Reader section, especially when you’re following all the right steps like using relevant tags and staying within the limit.

Here are a few things to check and consider:

    1. Check Visibility Settings

    • Ensure your site is set to Public. Sometimes sites are set to Private or Hidden by search engines, which can prevent posts from appearing in the Reader. You can check this by going to Settings > Reading and verifying the Search Engine Visibility settings.

    2. Tags and Categories

    • WordPress Reader only displays posts with a combination of up to 15 tags and categories. If you have more than 15 combined, your posts won’t appear in the Reader. Double-check the total number of tags and categories on each post.

    3. Content Guidelines

    • While you mentioned not receiving any notifications of flagging, it’s worth reviewing your content for anything that might be inadvertently violating WordPress.com’s Terms of Service. Sometimes, certain types of content can be flagged automatically without a manual review.

    4. Reader Algorithm

    • It’s also important to note that the Reader algorithm can sometimes delay displaying posts due to system processes. Ensure your tags are popular enough to be searched but not too broad, so your posts have a better chance of standing out.

    5. Search and Flagging

    • If you want to double-check if your site has been flagged or if there are other issues with visibility, you can reach out to us directly through support. We’ll be happy to run a more detailed check on your account and site visibility!

    6. Engage More with the Community

    • In the meantime, to help boost engagement, try commenting on and following other blogs within your niche. This can sometimes help draw more attention to your blog, as Reader is also influenced by interaction.

If you’ve already checked all of the above and are still experiencing issues, feel free to get in touch again, and we’ll dig deeper to find out what’s going on.

Thank you, and we’re here to help!

Hi, thank you for the response. I have checked all the above points. But still the posts are not being shown on the reader section. Could you please investigate further on it? Thanks.
