post not appearing in slider – nor home page

  when I go to customise I see the post in the slider, then it disappears. Plus it doesn’t show up on the home page either. home page vs home category causing problems. default category should be home, yes? but that doesn’t appear as an option. I’ve screwed up somewhere. Any thoughts?
