Post not auto saving

Hello. The past couple days I have been working on writing a post, and yesterday I closed the browser, because in the past my posts have always autosaved. Unfortunately, when I came back to my post today, everything I had previously wrote is gone. I have tried everything I know of to get it back, but cannot find a saved copy anywhere, which means hours of work has gone down the drain. So I was wondering, is there anything on your end you could do to try and restore my post? It would be so so helpful and so greatly appreciated!

was much longer mine happened 1230 cst i need one from just prior of the 18 revisions I NEVER pressed any button to save there must be other versions 18th says its from just over an hour ago.
sorry to take over post i got excited and im flustered

Hey folks, I’ve just tried testing this in Chrome on Mac. Autosave was working with a draft, and I also got a browser warning about unsaved data when I tried to close the page.
I want to say auto-save is deactivated if the post is already published, otherwise things should be saving.
@joyceanrum can you scroll through your post revisions here to see if you can spot the missing content?
@brooklynrosekramer if you’ll tell us the affected posts, we can take a look. You can also access the revisions on your own like this: https://wordpress.com/support/editors/page-post-revisions/
If the post was not published and if the revisions are completely missing, we’ll want to troubleshoot further: let us know what browser you were using, whether you had multiple tabs open, whether the computer had been in sleep mode, etc. Thanks!

on the right there is extra information I’m missing on the left the large single removed/red section was a mistake, meant to be deleted and about 2 hours before incident. On the right side with the green is more current than my most recent saved/loadable revision either 18 or 21. You have more specific information and a lot if not all of the blocks that placemark paragraphs all up and down are where all the rest wad just the pics and stuff I wrote is not there. I see this same thing (paragraph blocks with no writing) past my current save point just with no data you have a few more paragraphs than I do. I had finished and hit preview. The preview had no save button the publish button was unclickable and it did not open in separate tab as normally and back button exited all and erased work. 1230 my time Shreveport Louisiana CMT

Ok, so to clarify, are you missing any content there?
Also, are you able to tell me what browser you’re using and if you’re using any adblockers please?

ive rewritten the article already and will be conscious of this moving forward and thusly no longer require any assistance or follow up as this alone was helpful in my reaching this conclusion and i apologize to OP for hijacking the post. I will not respond to any further inquiry on anyone’s part thanks for not leaving me hanging and attempts to understand in order to help that is appreciated i consider this matter closed entirely
