I actually thought the problem was resolved, but it’s not resolved at all and do believe it could be something to do with the new editor, because when I use the old editor format the posts publish just fine in Chrome and Firefox.
Try this editor method
https:/Yoururlhere/wp-admin/post-new.php
after placing your url in the “Your url here” section bookmark the link so you can use the old editor for future postsplease also let staff know here if the old editor method works for you
I’m going to tag this thread with “modlook: to alert staff

Thank you sl1k, it is resolved for me, so thank you for your advice and I hope your blog gets up and running soon

Hey there! Sorry, I’m having a bit of trouble following the issue you’re having.
When you schedule a post, it says it’s scheduled. But it’s not? Or is it publishing immediately?
-
Hi There! The problem I’m having is when I try to publish a post through the new editor format it won’t publish the post, instead when I click publish it schedules the post instead of publishing the post for my readers to read. it just continues to sit in the schedule queue even though the time and date has passed, but when I click publish via the old editor format the post publishes immediately like it’s suppose too. Instead of placing it in the schedule queue.
-
Interesting. Thanks for the clarification. I’ll go test this out. Will pop back in when I’ve found something. :)

You’re welcome thank you for looking into this matter. For now I have a bookmark that directs me to the classic editor so I can continue to post for now.
-
I haven’t been able to trigger this to happen. Just to be sure, the button says “Publish” and the message says “You just scheduled a post on ____. Nice!”?
-
correct that was the issue, tonight I received a update for Firefox and the browser had to restart because of the update and it now seems to be resolved, because when I clicked the publish button the post posted to the blog instead going to into schedule queue, I apologize for not restarting the browser before posting here because it seems to have corrected the issue.
-
I’m glad that fixed it! :D
Let me know if you see that happen again! Definitely will want to fix that if its a bug on our end.

@shawnajroberts
It’s happening again via the new editor format, the button clearly states publish and when clicked it schedules the post instead of publishing it to the blog for the readers to read. When I use the classic editor and click the publish button the post I’m working on becomes published instead of scheduled. So this issue appears to only be a problem with the new editor format.

Do you leave the editor window open for an extended period of time? Like, start a post on one day and leave the editor open for several days while you work on it before publishing?
When it says that it’s been scheduled, can you confirm what date and time the scheduling is for?

No not for that long, sometimes maybe a couple hours but that wasn’t the case for this incident… or the previous incident either
When it says that it’s been scheduled, can you confirm what date and time the scheduling is for?
The time and date becomes the current time and date it is at the time I click the publish button, the post is sitting in the trash queue (Title Spiritual Journey) because I switched over to the classic editor mode which I also had to go through with option of creating a new post option via the classic editor and copy & past from the previous post which was written in the new editor format because when I would choose the option draft and click update, afterwards the button would say publish again but would just reschedule the post again resetting the time because the date was same since I retried posting minutes apart…
-
come to think about it I believe the previous time I had issues I left the tag section blank, the tag section I believe was blank this incident as well and I added tags when I switched over to new post via the classic editor.
Also the title bar was stuck at the top of the screen via new editor format with previous and current incident…

The dev’s are aware about the stuck title bar in the new editor format
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/issue-with-the-editor/page/2?replies=42#post-2330248Thinking back to the previous time the post issue arise the title bar was stuck at the top as well could it be possible one bug causing another?
-
Okay. So I’m working on replicating this. Currently I’ve created a new post in the editor and saved it as a draft with no tags. Does this sound correct to you?
I’ll attempt to publish this in a little while and see what happens. :)
